Pavlechenko led the way for BLUE. Diaz did the same for GREEN. The fire escape stairs were wide enough for 2 people to stand side-by-side tightly. For the heavily laden marines, this was impossible. The elements found themselves unable to leapfrog pointmen. Both pointmen swung right and led their teams into a landing where they both faced a corner-mounted security camera. On the front of the each landing was a oneway swinging door marked "FIRE EXIT". The door has a push-type locking mechanism that could be keyed open with a swipe card. The doorway itelf was of lightweight aluminum costruction. (FYI, This is what the door looks like on the INSIDE)

He then thought 'Ah, they know we're here. Let's give them a nice little surprise.' He then proceeded to hoist the smart gun into a vertical and locked position. After he grabbed his VP-70 and discharged 3 rounds into the camera. After he holstered the VP-70 and brought his smart gun back to a parallel position to the ground. 'Might as well make sure it doesn't work.' he thought. Finally he was frustrated no one was helping him. "Can someone please get up here and cut this door out, BLUE will need our help soon." he said waiting for someone to cut the hinges on the door. ----- "When war does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard." - General Thomas "Stonewalll" Jackson

Revel, if you're done sitting on your tattooed ass, you can cover our six." Carter said, trying to sound a little more commanding than usual. "Never lose sight of the rest of the squad, ok GREEN? Do not get out of visual contact." Rob just didn't want anybody running off on their own all lone hero style. Everyone he met who tried to be a hero and save the day winded up being fertilizer. And one of the things Carter hated about this job was picking up body parts and trying to figure out where they attached to a cadaver. "Alright, we'll dice off those hinges on that door with a portable welder. I'm hoping somebody remembered to bring a welder." Carter looked around the room, "And since no one seemed to bring a sledgehammer, we'll have to improvise and knock it down the good old fashion way, by kicking at it. Anybody want to be tough a kick down a door? If anybody has a motion tracker turn them on now, I want to see if there is anything behind that door that might be a possible hostile." Carter took a moment for everything to registered among the marines, and continued on, "I'll toss a flash bang in once that door goes down, and we all pile in single file, got it? Do NOT be stupid going in there, the enemy wont hesitate to shoot you, so don't hesitate to shoot them. Lastly , I don't want any HE being used, the last thing I want is the roof falling down on me."

The rounds shattered the camera. Sparks flew. IC: Hammers broke in on the comms. "Did any of you killers bring a shotgun loaded with solid slugs? How about a pry-bar?" Contrary to most teachers, Hammers believed that most lessons need not be learned the hard way. A firm guiding hand often elicited better results. Moreover, it was not yet time for the main object lesson. Demolishing the teams' confidence so early on didn't serve his purposes. Patience was not one of his virtues, but in this case, he was willing to wait.

Normally he wouldn't be so impatient but the fact that BLUE was in already meant GREEN would soon be needed. "Fuck this." he said out loud as he hoisted his smart gun into an up write position again. He drew his side arm for the second time and fired six rounds into the locking mechanism. After he holstered the VP-70, lowered the smart gun and waited for a capable soldier to kick the damn door in so he could get in there and help out. Rob shot him an angry look and decided that after they were done clearing the room he would have a little talk with the smart gunner. His first decision of blowing away the security camera gave away their position, and shooting the locking mechanism into bits with his pistol eliminated any possibility of taking any possible hostiles by surprise, even worse it didn't give them enough time to check the motion scanner for any tangos. They were going in blind, and that left a bad taste in the lance corporal's mouth. He rolled down his black balaclava, and prepped to enter the room "Alright Green, remember single file, I don't want any three-stooges-esque problems with too many people getting stuck in the doorway. Diaz, take point and I'll cover your ass, it's the same order I just mentioned, got it?" Rob whispered as he pressed himself against the wall. When the sound of BLUE squad's flash bang was heard Fleming toppled the door open with a brutal kick, and then pressed himself against the same wall that Carter was against. Rob waited for Diaz to take lead, and then he would follow. (OCC: Ok I edited up, my bad >.<

If i seem like a jerk i'm sorry. I have finals this week AND my g/f and i got into a fight last night before i posted this. again if i take it out here please PM slapping me in the face or giving me the finger. With a loud slam the door hit the wall and Diaz went rushing into the room. In front of him was a long corridor with two executive apartments on both sides. Diaz moved up the corridor slowly and cautiously with Carter watching his 'ass'. Diaz got to the end of the corridor and saw men and immediately cued the GREEN communication link and said "Contacts!" He braced himself against the Southwest corner of the Left hand executive apartment. Hammers noted this on his eval sheet approvingly. Green Team entered the hallway in stacked formation. A huge blast from the other side of the building reverberated. The tinkling of shattered glass followed. Blue Team was making its presence felt. "Green Team, clear the appartments to your left and right. Team leader, designate entry teams."

Wait." Rob paused to looked around the hallway and at the rest of his squad, Revel hadn't been giving any orders so far, and they couldn't afford to wait around for him to show up. He gave another glare at Diaz, the kid didn't seem to want to listen to any of Rob's orders. When they had a minute to rest Carter would be sure to have a nice talk with the boy. "Diaz, go with Revel and Jones and take the room on the right," Carter said as he unholstered his silenced pistol and motioned for Diaz to take it, "If you're going to be firing a pistol willy-nilly, at least make sure it's quiet, we're trying to go in without a lot of attention. Got it? This is me giving you an order, and in future instances, I expect you to listen to them, even if I'm not the designated squad leader. I'll take Fleming with me and take left." Carter tried to be as intimidating as possible, in reality, he hated giving orders. But he also hated being a sitting duck, he wanted to get this training mission done quickly and done right. Rob had assigned himself to be partnered up with Fleming because he wanted to keep an eye on him, god knows what the Russian had given him, and Rob didn't want to risk the rest of his squad should Fleming prove unreliable. Carter pressed his fingers against his headset and finished his communication with Hammers, "Entry Teams have been designated, preparing sweep. Verify, where and when is the rendevous point with BLUE?"

"Yes sir, i'm sorry for the insubordination but i was stressed. it will never happen again, as for the pistol, keep it. It may be more useful in close quarters than any of us may realize." He hoped that Carter understood. As for the order; he moved to the apartment he was assigned. He stepped in front of the door and leveled the M56. "Some one take down this door so i can start the entrance!" he called out. He hated pissing people off...especially when he is the 'new guy' in the group. "Revel, Jones can one of you burn the lock on this so we can enter?" he said motioning to the door. The last thing he wanted was to piss off Carter again. 'Shit why am I such an idiot some times?' he thought to himself. He shifted his smart gun and looked to the two other soldiers. Charging into a room, without using a flash bang, it was dangerous, and it was sloppy. Obviously Carter's lucky deck had been working over time, there could of been dozens of sim-mercs, barricaded behind furniture with their guns trained on the door, waiting for the squad to clamber over the bodies of their fallen comrades into on coming fire. All of the squad was lucky that none of the sim-mercs had taken any precautionary methods as of yet to stop the marines from entering the buildings, well any that they had seen so far. "Wait kid," Rob said in a hush and as quickly as he could, "First off, let's check to see if anybody is on the other side of the door, we'll just use handy Mr. Motion Scanner right here. Next we'll see if one or both of the doors are locked, then we'll slice off the hinges accordingly. While I'm reading the scanner, I want a person covering each door, just make sure nothing comes through." Carter snatched the motion scanner off of Revel's belt, he hadn't bothered to use it last time, or he didn't have enough time to use it before. Either way Carter took it upon himself to use it. He flicked the screen on and checked to see how many, if any, targets there were, and if there were any, where they were, and if they were waiting for Green.
